Our Mission

DARE’s mission is to organize low-income families living in communities of color for social, economic, and political justice.

We use four interconnected strategies to build power, win campaigns and fuel a lasting movement for social change:

Current Campaigns

Tenant & Homeowner Association

The Tenant and Homeowner Association (THA) is led by low-income tenants and homeowners living in communities of color, who are facing eviction, foreclosure, and unsafe housing conditions.

Behind the Walls

The Behind the Walls Committee is a community of people who have been impacted by incarceration working in resistance to the prison system.
